Do you feel like you still look pregnant even though your baby is 4-6 months or older?
THERE. IS. HELP.… and it does not come in the form of fad diets, crazy calorie restriction, or ab exercises that you aren’t capable of doing well anyway. Up until pregnancy we are brainwashed to think that dieting to lose weight, or buying the latest piece of exercise equipment is the answer to changing how we look. At the same time, most women have never had to think twice about their pelvic floor, healing from injury (yes, birth falls into that category), or rebuilding basic strength from scratch. Therefore, the postpartum learning curve when it comes to proper healing is understandably steep and cannot be overlooked. Too many women skip over core rehab completely, and dieting is a substitution that will never yield the desired results.

Are you exercising but not feeling like your strength is where it should be by now postpartum?
The Strong Mom Project teaches the basics of core and pelvic floor strength rebuilding. When you learn how to properly engage your deep core muscles and align your posture, it translates into more effective exercises and overall workouts become much more effective. Building strength improves confidence and helps motivate you to keep working on it!

Are you struggling with managing a diastasis, leakage, or symptoms of prolapse?
All of these issues are common for new (or even not so new) moms, but are also not normal. Moms should absolutely not struggle through these issues alone or accept them as their new normal! With a proper movement screening, we can determine where the breakdown in function is that is contributing to your issues, and put strategies in place that will allow you to exercise while managing your symptoms. We also refer to a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist for a full evaluation so nothing is missed!

Have you been experiencing back, shoulder or neck pain, either with exercise or while you are simply taking care of your baby?
The Strong Mom Project is not just an exercise plan, it’s a program that focuses on the whole picture. You may not realize that how you stand, how you carry your baby, and even how you perform basic exercises that you have always done are contributing to your pain throughout the day. We will continuously work on improving how you go about your day to help you feel your best.
